Big Walk: How to Unlock Every Trophy and Achievement

Card No. 06·4834 · Updated · Standard formula, shown below

This guide explains how to unlock every trophy and achievement in Big Walk, covering the full list, strategies for each one, and answers to common questions. You’ll find the complete requirements and practical tips to earn the platinum in the shortest time possible.

Understanding the Trophy List

Big Walk features a total of 32 trophies: 1 platinum, 6 gold, 10 silver, and 15 bronze. The list is split between story-related trophies, which unlock automatically as you progress, and optional challenges that require specific actions. None of the trophies are missable in the traditional sense—you can replay any chapter after finishing the game—but a few are much easier to get during your first playthrough when you have fewer distractions.

Story Progression Trophies

These trophies are tied to completing chapters and major milestones. You will unlock them naturally by playing through the game’s main campaign.

  • First Steps – Complete Chapter 1: The Overgrown Path.
  • Into the Wild – Complete Chapter 2: The Whispering Woods.
  • Mountain Climber – Complete Chapter 3: The Frozen Peaks.
  • Desert Wanderer – Complete Chapter 4: The Sunken Dunes.
  • City of Echoes – Complete Chapter 5: The Abandoned Metropolis.
  • The Long Walk Home – Complete the final chapter and finish the game.

These are straightforward—focus on the main path and you’ll earn them all. If you miss any, chapter select lets you replay any level without losing your progress.

Collectible and Exploration Trophies

Big Walk hides collectibles in every level: 30 lost diaries and 15 ancient relics. Collecting them all unlocks three trophies.

  • Diary Keeper – Collect all 30 lost diaries.
  • Relic Hunter – Collect all 15 ancient relics.
  • Completionist – Collect every diary and relic in the game.

Diaries are usually tucked behind waterfalls, on high ledges, or inside optional caves. Relics are more hidden—often requiring you to solve a small environmental puzzle. Use the in-game map; it shows a percentage for each area, but not exact locations. A good strategy is to explore each chapter thoroughly before moving on, and use headphones—both collectibles emit a faint humming sound when you’re near.

Challenge Trophies

These trophies require specific actions during gameplay. They are the most time-consuming, but none are overly difficult if you know what to do.

  • Speed Demon – Complete any chapter in under 10 minutes. Choose Chapter 1; it’s the shortest. Run past enemies and skip optional areas. You don’t need to collect anything, just reach the exit.
  • Stealthy as a Shadow – Complete a chapter without being detected by any enemy. The easiest is Chapter 1. Stay in tall grass, move when enemies turn their backs, and use thrown stones to distract them. If you get spotted, reload the checkpoint—detection resets.
  • Untouchable – Finish any chapter without taking damage. Combine with the stealth trophy by playing carefully. If you take a hit, restart the checkpoint. Enemies in Chapter 1 are slow, so it’s very doable.
  • Environmentalist – Use every type of environmental hazard to defeat an enemy: falling rocks, explosive barrels, water traps, and spike pits. You can do this across multiple playthroughs—it tracks cumulative progress.
  • Master of Elements – Use each of the four elemental abilities (fire, ice, wind, earth) in a single combat encounter. Start a fight with a group of enemies, then cycle through all four abilities before the fight ends.

For the speed and stealth trophies, save them for after you finish the story. You’ll know the level layouts and enemy placements, making it much easier.

Miscellaneous Trophies

These trophies are easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. They involve simple actions that you might do naturally, but it’s worth deliberately triggering them.

  • Pacifist – Complete a chapter without defeating any enemies. Just run past everything. Works well with the speed trophy.
  • Glutton – Eat 20 different food items. Food is scattered around camps and villages. Try every berry, mushroom, and cooked meal you find.
  • Camper – Set up camp and sleep for the first time. This happens early in Chapter 2, but you can also do it in any safe zone.
  • Fisherman – Catch a fish. Find a fishing spot (marked by a small dock or a calm lake) and press the interact button when you see a ripple.
  • Friend of the Wild – Pet 10 different animals. You can pet foxes, deer, rabbits, and even some birds. Approach slowly and press the pet button.
  • Explorer – Visit all named locations in the game. There are 25 in total. Use the map to track which ones you’ve been to; it shows a checkmark once you’ve entered.

Most of these can be done in a single playthrough if you’re thorough. For Glutton, make a habit of eating everything you find—you’ll likely hit 20 by Chapter 3.

Platinum Trophy Strategy

To get the platinum efficiently, follow this order:

  1. First playthrough: Play normally, but actively collect diaries and relics. Eat every food item, pet every animal, and visit every named location. This will net you all story, collection, and most misc trophies.
  2. Clean-up: After finishing, use chapter select to mop up any missed collectibles and locations. The map shows your progress per chapter, so you’ll know exactly what’s missing.
  3. Challenge runs: Now do the speed, stealth, and no-damage runs on Chapter 1. You can combine speed + pacifist + no damage in one run if you’re careful. Stealth can be done separately.
  4. Combat trophies: If you haven’t gotten Environmentalist or Master of Elements, replay Chapter 3 (lots of explosive barrels) and Chapter 4 (spike pits and falling rocks) to finish them.

This order minimizes backtracking. The whole platinum takes roughly 20–25 hours, depending on how thorough you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are any trophies missable?

No. Every trophy can be earned after finishing the game using chapter select. Your progress for collectibles and challenges is saved globally, so you can replay any chapter without losing anything.

Can I get the stealth and no-damage trophies in the same run?

Yes, absolutely. If you complete a chapter without being detected and without taking damage, you’ll unlock both trophies at the same time. Chapter 1 is the best choice because it’s short and has few enemies.

How do I find all the collectibles without a guide?

Listen for the humming sound and check the map percentage. The sound gets louder as you approach. Also, explore every dead end and behind waterfalls. If you’re stuck at 99%, the last item is often in a spot you passed early on—revisit the start of the chapter.

Does difficulty affect trophies?

No. You can play on any difficulty and still earn every trophy. The challenge trophies are the same regardless of difficulty, so if you want an easier time, play on the lowest setting.

What’s the fastest way to get the Speed Demon trophy?

Chapter 1 is the shortest. Run straight to the exit, ignoring enemies and collectibles. Use your sprint ability and don’t stop. With practice, you can finish in about 6 minutes, well under the 10-minute limit.

Do I need to 100% the game for the platinum?

Yes, you need all 32 trophies, which includes collecting every diary and relic. That’s the only 100% requirement—you don’t need to max out any other stats or upgrades.
