Bizarre Lineage Stand Tier List: PvP & PvE

Card No. 06·37822 · Updated · Standard formula, shown below

The calculator on this card is switched off while it is checked. The formula is below, and the worked example shows how to do the sum by hand.

This tier list ranks every Stand in Bizarre Lineage for both PvP and PvE, based on their overall combat effectiveness, utility, and match-up spread. You’ll get a clear S-to-D ranking for each mode, plus the reasoning behind every placement so you can decide which Stand fits your playstyle.

Formula

The tier list is based on a composite score that weighs each Stand’s performance in three categories: damage output, mobility/utility, and survivability. Each category is rated on a scale of 1 to 10, and the total score determines the tier:

  • S-Tier: 27–30 points (top-tier in every category)
  • A-Tier: 23–26 points (excellent in most, minor weaknesses)
  • B-Tier: 19–22 points (solid, but outclassed)
  • C-Tier: 15–18 points (situational or niche)
  • D-Tier: below 15 (outclassed or too situational)

For PvP, the score emphasizes combo potential, counter-play, and lag-resistant moves. For PvE, it emphasizes raw damage, range, and crowd control.

PvP Tier List

In player-versus-player combat, the meta revolves around fast, safe moves and true combos. Stands that can lock opponents down or deal burst damage without leaving themselves open dominate.

  • S-Tier (PvP): Star Platinum, The World, King Crimson
  • A-Tier (PvP): D4C, Tusk, Whitesnake
  • B-Tier (PvP): C-Moon, Made in Heaven, Gold Experience
  • C-Tier (PvP): Killer Queen, The Hand
  • D-Tier (PvP): Crazy Diamond

Star Platinum and The World share similar movesets, but Star Platinum’s faster barrages and better combo routes give it a slight edge. King Crimson’s time erasure lets you dodge any attack, making it the ultimate defensive tool. D4C’s clones and dimension hop are strong for mix-ups, but they require more skill to use effectively.

PvE Tier List

Against NPCs, the focus shifts to clearing waves quickly and surviving long fights. Stands with high area damage or healing tend to shine.

  • S-Tier (PvE): Star Platinum, The World
  • A-Tier (PvE): Tusk, Whitesnake, C-Moon
  • B-Tier (PvE): King Crimson, Made in Heaven, Gold Experience
  • C-Tier (PvE): Killer Queen, The Hand
  • D-Tier (PvE): Crazy Diamond

Star Platinum and The World again lead because their time stops let you deal free damage to every enemy in a group. Tusk’s infinite rotation projectiles are great for kiting, while Whitesnake’s melting attack melts bosses. King Crimson falls a bit in PvE because its time erasure doesn’t help against many enemies at once.

How to Choose Your Stand

Your choice depends on what you value more: winning duels or farming efficiently. If you mostly play PvP, pick an S-tier PvP Stand like Star Platinum or King Crimson. If you grind for rare items, go with The World for its time stop in PvE.

Also consider your skill level. D4C and Tusk have high skill ceilings—they’re powerful but require precise timing. Beginners often find Star Platinum more forgiving because its moves are straightforward and effective.

Common Misconceptions

Many players assume that rarer Stands are automatically better. That’s not true—The Hand is rare but its moves are slow and easily punished. Another myth is that time stop is unbeatable; in reality, skilled players can predict and block it, and some Stands like King Crimson can avoid it entirely.

Also, don’t ignore the PvE tier list if you’re a PvP main. Some Stands that are mediocre in PvP, like C-Moon, are excellent for boss farming because of their high single-target damage.

How to Get a Better Stand

You can obtain Stands by using a Stand Arrow on yourself. The result is random, but certain actions increase your chances of getting a rarer Stand:

  • Use a Stand Arrow with a 100% luck boost (from items or events).
  • Equip a “Stand Disc” that you find from bosses—it gives you a specific Stand.
  • Trade with other players—but beware of scams.

There’s no guaranteed method to get a specific Stand; it’s all RNG. However, you can reroll by resetting your character, but that resets your progress too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Star Platinum better than The World? Yes, in both PvP and PvE. Star Platinum has a faster barrage and better combo potential, while The World’s time stop is slightly shorter. The difference is small, but in high-level play, it matters.

What is the rarest Stand in Bizarre Lineage? Made in Heaven is the rarest obtainable Stand, with a drop rate of about 1 in 500. However, rarity doesn’t equal power—it’s only B-tier in both modes.

Can you get a Stand without a Stand Arrow? Yes, you can use a Stand Disc dropped by bosses like Dio or Jotaro. These discs give you a specific Stand, but they are also random and can be lost on death.

Why is Crazy Diamond ranked so low? Crazy Diamond’s moves are slow and its healing ability is situational in combat. In PvP, it’s easy to dodge its attacks, and in PvE, its damage is below average. It’s not terrible, but other Stands do everything better.

Does the tier list change with updates? Yes, the developers regularly buff and nerf Stands. This list reflects the current meta, but always check the latest patch notes for changes.

What’s the best Stand for beginners? Star Platinum is the best for beginners because its moves are easy to learn and effective in both modes. It also has a high skill ceiling, so you won’t outgrow it.
