This article ranks every Cookie in Cookie Run: Crumble from best to worst for general play, based on their stats, skills, and team synergy. You’ll get a clear tier list (S through D), an explanation of how each Cookie’s role works, and practical advice on which ones to invest in first.
Formula
The calculator above works out your average pace and speed for a run. The formula is simple:
- Pace (min/km) = Finish time (minutes) ÷ Distance (km)
- Speed (km/h) = Distance (km) ÷ (Finish time (minutes) ÷ 60)
Variables: t = total time in minutes, d = distance in kilometers. Pace tells you how many minutes each kilometer takes; speed tells you how many kilometers you cover in one hour.
Worked Example
Using the default values: t = 50 minutes, d = 10 km.
- Pace = 50 ÷ 10 = 5.00 min/km
- Speed = 10 ÷ (50 ÷ 60) = 10 ÷ 0.8333 = 12.00 km/h
So a 50-minute, 10 km run gives a 5:00 min/km pace and a speed of 12 km/h.
How the Tier List Works
In Cookie Run: Crumble, each Cookie has a base rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary) and a unique skill that activates during a run. The tier list below ranks Cookies by their overall usefulness in story mode, Trophy Race, and guild battles. S-tier Cookies dominate in most modes; D-tier Cookies are outclassed by lower-rarity options.
S-Tier Cookies (Best Overall)
- Sea Fairy Cookie – Legendary. Her skill summons a wave that clears obstacles and grants a large combo bonus. Best for high-score runs.
- Black Pearl Cookie – Legendary. Excellent for long-distance survival with a shield that blocks one hit.
- Moonlight Cookie – Legendary. Her skill magnetizes all jellies for 5 seconds, making her the top choice for collecting coins and jellies on dense maps.
A-Tier Cookies (Strong and Reliable)
- Pitaya Dragon Cookie – Epic. High base stats and a skill that destroys obstacles in a straight line.
- Ananas Dragon Cookie – Epic. Similar to Pitaya but with a bigger area of effect.
- Mango Cookie – Epic. His skill creates a wave of jellies, great for combo chains.
- Lilac Cookie – Epic. Steals energy from enemies, useful in guild battles.
B-Tier Cookies (Situational but Viable)
- Mint Choco Cookie – Epic. Heals the team slightly, but his skill is weak for scoring.
- Purple Yam Cookie – Epic. Strong in PvP due to a stun effect, but mediocre in PvE.
- Almond Cookie – Epic. Decent for beginners, but outclassed by higher rarities.
C-Tier and D-Tier Cookies (Weak or Niche)
- C-Tier: Chili Pepper Cookie, Kumiho Cookie, Werewolf Cookie – their skills are too situational or weak compared to Epics.
- D-Tier: Common and most Rare Cookies (e.g., GingerBrave, Strawberry Cookie) – they are only useful for early-game tutorials.
How to Choose Which Cookie to Invest In
Your choice depends on your game mode:
- Story Mode: Prioritize S-tier Cookies for their survival and scoring skills.
- Trophy Race: Use Cookies with high combo potential, like Sea Fairy or Moonlight.
- Guild Battle: Pick Cookies with debuffs or shields, like Lilac or Black Pearl.
- Resource Constraints: If you lack Legendaries, invest in A-tier Epics like Pitaya Dragon – they are easier to level up.
Common Mistakes and Misconceptions
One common mistake is assuming higher rarity always means better. A maxed-out Epic Cookie can outperform a level 1 Legendary. Another mistake is ignoring the skill cooldown – a Cookie with a long cooldown may be less useful than one with a shorter, more frequent skill. Also, don’t forget that the treasure you equip matters more than the Cookie in some modes – a good treasure can turn a B-tier Cookie into an A-tier performer.
How the Calculator Helps Your Run
Use the pace calculator to track your real-world running, not in-game performance. In Cookie Run: Crumble, you don’t control speed directly – it’s auto-run. But if you’re a player who also runs, knowing your pace helps you set realistic goals, just like in the game you set a target score. The calculator is a separate tool for your own fitness, not a game hack.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sea Fairy Cookie the best in the game?
Yes, for most game modes, Sea Fairy Cookie is considered the best due to her high combo bonus and obstacle-clearing skill. However, in some specific maps, Moonlight Cookie’s magnet can yield higher scores.
Can I beat story mode with only Rare Cookies?
Yes, but it’s very difficult after Chapter 3. Rare Cookies lack the stats and skill power needed for later levels. It’s better to invest in at least one Epic Cookie early.
What does the tier list not tell you?
The tier list assumes max level and skill. A low-level S-tier Cookie may perform worse than a maxed B-tier Cookie. Also, the list ignores treasure synergy – some Cookies become much better with specific treasures.
How often does the meta change?
Every time a new Cookie is released, the meta can shift. Usually, new Legendaries are S-tier, but sometimes a new Epic can shake up the rankings. Check the game’s update notes for balance changes.
Should I save crystals for gacha or buy specific Cookies?
It’s generally better to save crystals for limited-time gacha banners that feature guaranteed Legendaries. Buying specific Cookies with real money is not recommended unless you’re a whale.
What is the best treasure for S-tier Cookies?
For Sea Fairy, the “Whale’s Tear” treasure boosts her skill damage. For Moonlight, “Moonlight’s Mirror” extends magnet duration. Always match the treasure to the Cookie’s skill type.
