The FC 26 Veni Vidi Vini Evolution is a free Evolutions path that upgrades a silver or lower-rated attacker with significant pace, dribbling, and shooting boosts, plus a PlayStyle+, turning a budget card into a competitive starter-team option. You apply it by selecting an eligible player in the Evolutions menu, completing four in-game objectives, and then claiming the final upgraded version. Below is everything you need to know about the best players to use, the exact requirements, and how the upgrade chain works.

Formula

The Veni Vidi Vini Evolution does not use a mathematical formula; it is a fixed upgrade path defined by the game’s Evolution system. The formula you see above is a generic pace calculator placeholder and is not part of this Evolution. The actual upgrades are applied automatically when you complete the required objectives. Each match you play with the selected player counts toward the objective progress, and once all four are done, the card receives the final stat boosts and the new PlayStyle+.

What Is the Veni Vidi Vini Evolution?

This Evolution was released in the FC 26 Ultimate Team cycle as a free, time-limited path. It is designed to give players a usable attacker from the lower-rated pool, specifically targeting cards rated 74 or below with a maximum pace of 90. The name references the famous Latin phrase, but the content is purely about upgrading a cheap, fast forward into a more complete winger or striker.

The Evolution grants a +10 to Pace, +8 to Shooting, +7 to Passing, +6 to Dribbling, and +4 to Physical, while also adding the Rapid PlayStyle+. This makes the final card significantly faster and more clinical in front of goal, which is valuable early in the game cycle when most players are still using gold and silver squads.

Player Requirements for Eligibility

Before you can start the Evolution, your chosen player must meet specific criteria. These are the base card requirements, not the in-progress or evolved versions:

  • Overall rating: 74 or lower
  • Pace: 90 or lower
  • Position: ST, LW, RW, CF, or LM/RM (attacking positions only)
  • Card type: any non-special base card (gold, silver, or bronze)
  • PlayStyles: no restrictions on existing PlayStyles, but the Evolution adds Rapid regardless

Players who already have an Evolution applied cannot be used again in this path. You can only apply Veni Vidi Vini to a fresh, untradeable or tradeable base card that has not been evolved before.

Best Players to Use

The ideal candidates are silver cards with high base pace and decent dribbling, because the Evolution boosts those stats further. Here are some of the best options that typically fit the criteria:

  • Karim Adeyemi (Silver, LW/RW) – Already has elite pace and 4-star skill moves; the upgrade makes him a top-tier starter winger.
  • Jeremie Frimpong (Silver, RM) – Very fast, with good physical for a wide player; the shooting boost turns him into a threat cutting inside.
  • Moussa Diaby (Silver, RW) – High agility and balance, plus the Rapid PlayStyle+ makes his first step almost unstoppable.
  • Donyell Malen (Silver, ST/RW) – Strong and quick, benefits hugely from the +8 shooting to become a reliable finisher.
  • Nico Williams (Silver, LW) – Excellent dribbling base, the pace boost pushes him to near-meta levels for the early game.

When choosing, prioritize players with 4-star skill moves and 4-star weak foot, because the Evolution does not upgrade those. A player with 3-star weak foot will still feel one-dimensional, even with boosted stats.

Upgrade Levels and Objectives

The Evolution is split into three levels, each requiring a specific set of objectives to unlock the next stat boost. You must complete them in order, and you cannot skip ahead. The objectives are:

  1. Level 1 – Pace Boost (+5 Pace, +3 Dribbling): Play 2 Squad Battles or Rivals matches with the player in your starting XI.
  2. Level 2 – Shooting and Passing (+5 Shooting, +4 Passing): Score 3 goals with the player in any mode, and assist 2 goals in separate matches.
  3. Level 3 – Final Upgrade (+5 Pace, +3 Shooting, +3 Passing, +3 Dribbling, +4 Physical, Rapid PlayStyle+): Win 4 matches with the player in your starting XI, and play 5 total matches.

All objectives can be completed in Squad Battles, Rivals, or Champions. Friendlies and Squad Battles on beginner difficulty count, so you can grind them quickly if you prefer offline play.

Common Mistakes and Misconceptions

One frequent error is using a player who is already rated 75 or above, thinking the Evolution will still work. It will not – the game checks the base card’s rating, not the current one. Another mistake is applying the Evolution to a player with a 2-star weak foot, which limits the shooting boost’s effectiveness. Finally, some players assume the Rapid PlayStyle+ is added at Level 1, but it only appears after completing all three levels, so you must finish the entire path to get the full benefit.

Also note that the Evolution is time-limited. If you start it but do not finish before the expiry date, the partially upgraded card reverts to its base version, and you lose the progress. Always check the timer in the Evolutions menu before committing.

How to Complete the Evolution Efficiently

To finish the Veni Vidi Vini Evolution as quickly as possible, use these practical steps:

  • Set up a Squad Battles match on Beginner difficulty, which counts toward all objectives.
  • Put the evolving player as your striker or CAM so they get the most touches and shot opportunities.
  • For the assist objective, play a through ball to a teammate and let them finish – this counts as an assist for the evolving player.
  • Use a full silver squad to keep chemistry high, which boosts the player’s in-game stats.
  • If you have limited time, play Rivals matches instead, as they count for all objectives and give you rewards simultaneously.

Most players can complete all three levels in about 45–60 minutes of focused Squad Battles grinding.

Is It Worth It Compared to Other Evolutions?

Compared to paid Evolutions that cost FC Points or Coins, the Veni Vidi Vini is clearly worth doing because it is free and provides a significant boost to a usable attacker. However, it is not as strong as the paid
