Forge Blade Loot Guide: Best Weapons & Rebirth Fast

Card No. 06·53055 · Updated · Standard formula, shown below

This guide explains how to get the best weapons from Forge Blade’s loot system and how to rebirth quickly. You’ll learn what the loot tiers are, which weapons are worth keeping, and the fastest route to your first rebirth. The key is to focus on clearing the highest dungeon you can survive, not the one with the best drop rates on paper.

How the Loot System Works

Forge Blade drops weapons and armor from bosses and chests. Each drop has a rarity tier that determines its base stats and how many upgrade slots it has. The tiers, from lowest to highest, are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic. Higher tiers also have a chance to roll with a special affix, like lifesteal or bonus critical damage, which often matters more than the base damage number.

Every weapon also has a level requirement. You can only equip a weapon if your character is at or above that level. This means a level 50 Epic weapon can be better than a level 40 Legendary, simply because you can use it sooner and its raw stats are higher. The game’s loot table is weighted by dungeon difficulty, so the deeper you go, the better the average drop quality.

Best Weapons by Playstyle

There is no single “best” weapon in Forge Blade because the top choice depends on your build and what you are fighting. However, some weapon types are consistently strong in the current meta.

  • Greatsword – Highest single-hit damage. Best for players who can time dodges and want to burst down elites. Slow attack speed, but the charge attack can one-shot packs of normal enemies.
  • Dual Daggers – Fastest attack speed and the best for applying on-hit effects like poison or bleed. Lower base damage, but the DPS is excellent if you stack attack speed bonuses.
  • Staff – Ranged with a large AoE on the basic attack. Great for farming lower-level dungeons quickly, but fragile in boss fights. Look for one with the “mana regen” affix.
  • Spear – Balanced reach and speed. Good for beginners because it lets you keep distance while still dealing consistent damage. The charged thrust has a long range.

For the final boss of the current content, a Greatsword with the “armor break” affix is widely considered the most effective because it amplifies all damage taken by the boss. For speed-farming gold and materials, Dual Daggers with lifesteal are safer and faster.

How to Rebirth Fast

Rebirth resets your character to level 1 but gives you a permanent stat boost and a currency that can be spent on account-wide upgrades. The fastest way to rebirth is to level from 1 to the rebirth requirement (usually level 60) by running the highest dungeon you can clear in under 3 minutes. Here is the step-by-step route that minimizes time:

  1. Level 1-15: Do the main quest line until it sends you to the first dungeon. This takes about 20 minutes and gives you your first full set of gear.
  2. Level 15-30: Run the “Forsaken Crypt” on Normal difficulty. It has a short linear path and dense enemy packs. Ignore side rooms and just rush the boss.
  3. Level 30-45: Switch to “Crimson Depths” on Normal. You should now have a Rare weapon. Kill only the mandatory elites and the boss; skip optional chests.
  4. Level 45-60: Move to “Crimson Depths” on Hard if you have a Legendary weapon, otherwise stay on Normal. Hard gives about 40% more experience per run but takes 50% longer if you die.

Always use experience boost potions if you have them. They stack with the daily bonus. Also, join a party of two or three players; the experience per run is roughly the same, but the clear time drops dramatically because you split the aggro.

Common Mistakes That Slow You Down

The biggest mistake is trying to use the highest-rarity weapon you have, even if its level requirement is far above your current level. A level 30 Epic is worse than a level 25 Rare if you are level 26. The second mistake is ignoring affixes. A Legendary with a useless affix (like “bonus damage to undead” when you are fighting demons) is often worse than an Epic with “critical damage +20%”.

Another common error is spending gold on gear from the shop. The shop items are always below the average drop quality from the dungeon you can currently clear. Save your gold for the rebirth altar and for upgrading your potion flask. Finally, do not skip the daily quests. They give a large chunk of experience and a guaranteed Rare or better item, which is a reliable way to fill a weak gear slot.

Comparing Dungeon Faming Routes

If you are farming for a specific weapon type, the best dungeon is the one that drops it. Each dungeon has a theme: the Forsaken Crypt drops daggers and staves, the Crimson Depths drops greatswords and spears, and the Sky Citadel (unlocked after rebirth) drops all types but with a higher chance for Legendary. The drop rate for a Legendary from the final boss of Crimson Depths on Hard is about 2%, while the Sky Citadel on Normal is about 1.5% but takes half the time. For pure loot-per-minute, the Sky Citadel is better even on Normal.

For experience, the Crimson Depths on Hard is the best until you can clear the Sky Citadel on Hard. The difference is about 15% more experience per minute if you have a good group. Solo players should stick to Normal difficulty in the highest dungeon they can clear without dying, because death costs you time and repair gold.

Costs of Rebirth and Upgrades

Rebirth costs 10,000 gold and one Rebirth Token. Tokens are earned by defeating the boss of the Sky Citadel for the first time each day, or by dismantling a Mythic weapon. The permanent stat boost from rebirth is +5% to all stats, and it stacks up to 10 times. After the first rebirth, the cost increases to 15,000 gold, then 20,000, and so on, up to a maximum of 50,000 gold for the tenth rebirth.

Upgrading your weapon at the blacksmith costs gold and upgrade stones. Each upgrade increases the base damage by 3% of the original value. The cost scales with the rarity: Common stones are cheap, but Mythic stones are rare and expensive. A common mistake is upgrading a weapon you will replace in 10 levels. Only upgrade a weapon if you plan to use it for at least 15 levels or if it is your endgame weapon.

Safety and Fair Play Notes

This guide assumes you are playing the legitimate version of Forge Blade. Using third-party tools, macro scripts, or exploits to auto-farm dungeons can result in a permanent ban. The game’s anti-cheat detects abnormal click patterns and session times. If you are using the mobile version, be aware that the game continues to run in the background, so close it when you are done to avoid draining your battery. Also, do not share your account credentials with any “boosting” service; they can steal your items and gold.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest way to get a Mythic weapon?

The most reliable method is to farm the Sky Citadel on Hard difficulty after your second rebirth. The final boss has a 1% chance to drop a Mythic, and the chest after the boss has a 0.5% chance. You can increase your odds by using a Luck Potion, which adds a 0.5% bonus to the drop rate for 30 minutes. It is still rare, so expect to run the dungeon 100-200 times.

Do I need to rebirth to beat the final boss?

No, but it helps. The final boss has a damage check that is very hard to pass without at least one rebirth. If you have a full set of Epic gear with good affixes, you can beat it, but you will need near-perfect dodging. Most players find it easier to rebirth once, then come back with the +5% stat boost and the ability to equip higher-level gear.

Can I transfer my weapon to a new character after rebirth?

Yes, but only if the weapon is not bound to your character. Weapons that drop from bosses are account-bound, meaning they can be stored in the shared stash and used by any character on your account. Weapons that you craft or buy from the shop are character-bound and cannot be transferred. Always check the item tooltip for the “Account Bound” tag.

What is the best affix for a Greatsword?

For a Greatsword, the best affix is “Armor Break” because it reduces the target’s defense by 20% for 5 seconds, which synergizes with the slow, heavy hits. “Lifesteal” is a close second, as it turns your massive damage into healing, making you nearly unkillable against packs. “Critical Damage” is also good, but it requires you to build critical chance on other gear pieces.

How do I get more Rebirth Tokens?

You get one token per day from the Sky Citadel boss, and a second token from the daily quest “A New Beginning” which requires you to complete 3 dungeons. You can also dismantle a Mythic weapon for a token, but that is a waste unless you have a duplicate. Tokens do not stack in your inventory; they are automatically added to your rebirth count when you talk to the altar.

Is it better to sell or dismantle unwanted weapons?

Dismantle them. Selling gives you gold, but dismantling gives you upgrade stones and a small chance to get a Rebirth Token from rare or higher weapons. Upgrade stones are essential for keeping your best weapon competitive, and you will run out of them long before you run out of gold. The only exception is Common and Uncommon weapons, which give very few stones; sell those instead.
