Fruit Seas Races Guide: All Races & How to Get

Card No. 06·4048 · Updated · Standard formula, shown below

This guide explains the race system in the Roblox game Fruit Seas, covering each race’s abilities, how to obtain them, and which one suits different playstyles. You’ll learn the exact steps to change your race and the effects each race has on combat and movement.

What Are Races in Fruit Seas?

In Fruit Seas, races are a permanent character trait that gives you a unique passive ability and stat bonuses. You start with the Human race, but you can change it by finding a Race Reroll item or using a special NPC. Each race is designed for a different combat style, so choosing the right one can significantly affect your performance in PvP and PvE.

All Races and Their Abilities

There are currently six races in Fruit Seas. Each race has a passive ability that activates under certain conditions, plus a stat multiplier that affects your base attributes.

  • Human – No special ability, but has a 10% boost to all stats. This is the starting race and is balanced for any build.
  • Fishman – Increases swimming speed by 20% and gives a 10% boost to melee damage. Ideal for water-based combat and players who use fighting styles.
  • Mink – Increases movement speed by 15% and gives a 10% boost to agility (dodge). Best for hit-and-run tactics and kiting enemies.
  • Skypiea – Allows you to jump higher and reduces fall damage by 50%. Also gives a 10% boost to Observation Haki (if you have it). Good for aerial combat and exploration.
  • Cyborg – Grants a 15% reduction to all damage taken and a 10% boost to stamina regeneration. Excellent for tanky builds that rely on endurance.
  • Demon – Increases all damage dealt by 10% but reduces health by 10%. A high-risk, high-reward race for aggressive players.

How to Change Your Race

To change your race, you need a Race Reroll item, which you can obtain from the in-game shop or as a rare drop from bosses. Once you have the item, follow these steps:

  1. Open your inventory and select the Race Reroll.
  2. Use it – a menu will appear showing all six races.
  3. Click on the race you want – your character will immediately change to that race.

Note that Race Reroll is consumed upon use, and the change is permanent unless you use another Reroll. You cannot manually revert to Human without a Reroll.

Which Race Should You Choose?

Your choice depends on your playstyle and the type of fruit you use. Here are some general recommendations:

  • For PvP beginners: Human – the balanced stats help you learn the game without weaknesses.
  • For melee fighters: Fishman – the melee damage boost is straightforward and reliable.
  • For speedsters: Mink – the movement speed is invaluable for dodging and chasing.
  • For fruit users: Skypiea – the jump boost helps with aiming and avoiding close combat.
  • For tanks: Cyborg – the damage reduction makes you very hard to kill.
  • For experienced players: Demon – the damage boost is powerful, but the health penalty requires good dodging.

Common Misconceptions

Many players believe that the Demon race is the best, but that is not always true. The health reduction can be a huge disadvantage if you are not skilled at avoiding hits. Also, some players think that Skypiea gives you the ability to fly – it does not; it only increases jump height. Another misconception is that you can get a specific race by using a Race Reroll multiple times – that is not how it works; each Reroll gives you a random race, and you cannot choose until you use the item.

How to Get Race Reroll for Free

Race Rerolls are primarily purchased with Robux, but you can also get them from:

  • Defeating high-level bosses (rare drop)
  • Completing certain quests (check the quest board)
  • Events (limited-time)

If you are not willing to spend Robux, your best bet is to farm bosses. The drop rate is low, so be prepared for a long grind.

Race Buffs and How to Unlock Them

Each race has a unique buff that you can unlock by completing a special quest. For example, Fishman can unlock a water-dash ability, and Mink can unlock an electric punch. These buffs are powerful but require a significant time investment. To unlock them, you need to talk to an NPC in the race’s home island and complete a series of challenges (e.g., defeat a certain enemy, collect items).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best race in Fruit Seas?

There is no single best race – it depends on your build. For general PvP, Cyborg is often recommended because of its damage reduction. For fruit users, Skypiea is a good choice. For pure damage, Demon is strong but risky.

Can you change your race back to Human?

Yes, but you need another Race Reroll. When you use it, you can select Human again. There is no free way to revert.

Is the Demon race worth it?

If you are confident in your ability to avoid hits, yes. The 10% damage boost is significant, but the health penalty can be fatal in prolonged fights. It is not recommended for beginners.

How do I get a Race Reroll without Robux?

You can get them as rare drops from bosses or from quest rewards. The drop rate is low, so you may need to grind for a while. Events sometimes give them as rewards, so keep an eye on the game’s announcements.

Do races affect stats permanently?

Yes, the stat bonuses are permanent as long as you have that race. If you change races, the bonuses change accordingly. Your base stats (like strength and defense) remain the same, but the percentage boosts are applied based on your race.

Can I get a race without using a Race Reroll?

No, the only way to change your race is by using a Race Reroll. There is no NPC that lets you choose a race for free.
