This FAQ answers the most common questions about streaming the Katseye documentary series Wild Hearts, including which regions it is available in, which devices support it, what subtitle options exist, and whether downloads are allowed. The series is available exclusively on Netflix, with availability varying by country.
Background: What Is Wild Hearts?
Wild Hearts is a six-episode documentary series that follows the formation of the global girl group Katseye, a project created through the HYBE and Geffen Records joint venture. The show chronicles the journey of the final members from their auditions through training and debut, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the K-pop-style idol system applied to an international group. The series premiered on Netflix on August 21, 2024, and has since become a popular entry point for fans interested in the group’s origins.
Streaming Regions: Where Is It Available?
Because Wild Hearts is a Netflix original, it is available in every region where Netflix operates. That includes North America, most of Europe, Latin America, Asia (excluding mainland China, where Netflix is not available), Australia, and New Zealand. As of early 2025, the series is not geo-blocked in any Netflix-supported territory. If you have an active Netflix subscription, you can watch it regardless of your country. The only exception is if you are traveling to a region where Netflix does not offer service, such as mainland China, Crimea, North Korea, or Syria—in those cases, you would need a VPN and a payment method from a supported country, though that may violate Netflix’s terms of service.
Supported Devices: What Can You Watch It On?
Netflix supports a wide range of devices, and Wild Hearts can be streamed on all of them. Here is a list of the main categories:
- Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, and others with the Netflix app)
- Streaming sticks and boxes (Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast with Google TV)
- Game consoles (PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S)
- Mobile devices (iOS and Android phones and tablets)
- Computers (via the Netflix website in any modern web browser)
There is no special requirement beyond having a Netflix app or browser that supports the latest streaming protocols. The series is available in HD and 4K where your device and internet connection allow it.
Subtitles and Audio Options
Netflix provides subtitles and audio tracks for Wild Hearts in multiple languages. The series is primarily in English, but because the group members speak Korean, English, and some other languages, the show includes subtitles for non-English dialogue within the same language track. For example, when a member speaks Korean, English subtitles appear automatically if your Netflix language is set to English. You can also choose from a variety of subtitle languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and many others. The exact list depends on your region and Netflix’s licensing, but it generally matches the languages available for other Netflix originals.
Downloads: Can You Watch Offline?
Yes, Wild Hearts is available for download on the Netflix mobile app (iOS and Android) and on the Windows 10/11 app. You can download each episode to your device and watch it without an internet connection for up to 30 days. After 30 days, the download expires, but you can renew it by re-downloading if you still have an active subscription. Downloads are not available on smart TVs or web browsers. To download, open the show’s page in the Netflix app, tap the download icon next to an episode, and choose your preferred video quality (standard or high).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Wild Hearts available on any other streaming service?
No, Wild Hearts is a Netflix original and is not available on Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, or any other platform. It is exclusively on Netflix.
Do I need a premium Netflix plan to watch it?
No, Wild Hearts is available on all Netflix plans. However, the video quality will depend on your plan: the Basic plan streams in 720p, Standard in 1080p, and Premium in 4K if your device supports it. Downloads are available on all plans, but the number of devices you can download to depends on your plan.
Can I watch Wild Hearts with subtitles in my language?
Yes, Netflix offers subtitles in dozens of languages. To change the subtitle language, start the show, tap the speech bubble icon, and select from the available options. If your language is not listed, it may not be offered for this title in your region.
Why is Wild Hearts not showing up in my Netflix search?
If you have an active Netflix subscription and are in a supported region, the show should appear. If it doesn’t, try logging out and back in, updating the Netflix app, or searching for “Katseye” instead of the full title. If you are using a VPN, it may be interfering with your region detection.
Can I download Wild Hearts to my laptop?
Yes, you can download episodes on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer using the Netflix app from the Microsoft Store. This feature is not available on Mac computers; Mac users can only stream, not download.
How many episodes are there and how long is each one?
There are six episodes, each roughly 50 to 60 minutes long. The total runtime is about five and a half hours. You can watch them all in one sitting or spread them out.
Common Issues and Troubleshooting
If you experience problems streaming Wild Hearts, here are a few common fixes:
- Buffering: Check your internet speed—Netflix recommends at least 5 Mbps for HD. Restart your router or lower the video quality in your account settings.
- Subtitles not showing: Make sure the subtitle track is enabled via the speech bubble icon during playback. If you want them on by default, adjust your account’s subtitle settings.
- Error code NW-2-5: This often indicates a network issue. Try restarting your device or reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
- Download not working: Clear the Netflix app cache, ensure you have enough storage, and check that you are not using an older version of the app.
If none of these work, Netflix’s help center has a live chat and support articles for your specific device.
