This guide lists every relic that drops Citrine Prime parts and where to farm each relic in Warframe. You need four relics—one for the Chassis, Neuroptics, Systems, and Blueprint—and each drops from specific mission types and tier rotations.

Formula

Expected runs = number of relics × 1.77 (for radiant relics, where each has a 34% chance per reward slot). This is the average number of void traces-refined relics you need to open to get all four Citrine Prime parts once, assuming you use radiant relics and each part is equally likely.

Worked Example

With the default of 4 relics: 4 × 1.77 = 7.08 runs. So on average, you will need about 7 radiant relic runs to collect all four Citrine Prime parts. Actual results vary; some players get everything in 4 runs, others need 15+.

Citrine Prime Relic List

Citrine Prime has four parts, each tied to a specific relic and refinement tier. The parts and their relics are:

  • Citrine Prime Blueprint – Meso C6 (Common)
  • Citrine Prime Chassis – Neo C3 (Common)
  • Citrine Prime Neuroptics – Axi C2 (Uncommon)
  • Citrine Prime Systems – Lith C4 (Common)

All four relics are currently in the drop tables. The Lith C4 is the easiest to obtain because Lith relics drop from low-level missions. The Axi C2 is the rarest and usually requires higher-level content or specific rotations.

Where to Farm Each Relic

Relics drop from a variety of mission types. The most efficient farms per relic tier are:

Lith C4 (Systems)

  • Hepit, Void – Capture, 1–2 minutes per run, drops Lith relics in rotation A. This is the fastest Lith relic farm in the game.
  • Olympus, Mars – Disruption, rotation A and B drop Lith relics. Good if you also need Meso relics.
  • Ukko, Void – Capture, similar to Hepit but drops Meso and Lith. Slightly slower but also useful.

Meso C6 (Blueprint)

  • Ukko, Void – Capture, drops Meso relics in rotation A. Fast and reliable.
  • Io, Jupiter – Disruption, rotation B and C drop Meso and Neo. Good for farming multiple tiers at once.
  • Hydra, Pluto – Disruption, rotation B and C drop Meso and Axi. Higher level, but also drops Axi relics.

Neo C3 (Chassis)

  • Hydra, Pluto – Disruption, rotation B and C drop Neo and Axi. The best all-around Neo farm.
  • Kappa, Sedna – Disruption, rotation B and C drop Neo. Slightly lower level than Hydra.
  • Mithra, Void – Interception, rotation B and C drop Neo. Slower but also drops Axi.

Axi C2 (Neuroptics)

  • Apollo, Lua – Disruption, rotation C has a high chance of Axi relics. This is the most efficient Axi farm in the game.
  • Hydra, Pluto – Disruption, rotation C drops Axi. Good if you also need Neo.
  • Mithra, Void – Interception, rotation C drops Axi. Slower but works if you prefer interception.

How Refinement Affects Drop Chances

Refining a relic with Void Traces increases the drop chance of the rare (gold) and uncommon (silver) items. For Citrine Prime, all parts except the Neuroptics are common (bronze). The Neuroptics are uncommon (silver).

  • Intact – Common 50%, Uncommon 28%, Rare 2%
  • Exceptional – Common 50%, Uncommon 34%, Rare 4%
  • Flawless – Common 50%, Uncommon 40%, Rare 6%
  • Radiant – Common 50%, Uncommon 46%, Rare 10%

Since the Neuroptics are uncommon, refining to Radiant raises its chance from 28% to 46%. For the common parts, refinement does not change the 50% chance, so you can open those relics intact if you want to save Void Traces. However, most players refine all four to Radiant for consistency.

Common Mistakes and Misconceptions

  • Farming the wrong mission type – Disruption is the best for Neo and Axi, but many players waste time in Survival or Defense. Stick to Disruption for high-level relics.
  • Not using Radiant for the Neuroptics – The Neuroptics are uncommon, so an intact relic only gives a 28% chance. Radiant nearly doubles that to 46%.
  • Opening relics in public squads without coordinating – If you all pick the same relic, you get four chances per run. If you pick different relics, you might not get the part you need.
  • Assuming all relics drop equally – Axi C2 is rarer than Lith C4. Expect to spend more time on the Neuroptics.

Comparing Farm Methods

The fastest way to get all four relics is to run Hepit (Void) for Lith C4, Ukko (Void) for Meso C6, Hydra (Pluto) for Neo C3, and Apollo (Lua) for Axi C2. This combination minimizes time per relic. If you prefer a single mission type, Disruption on Hydra (Pluto) gives Meso, Neo, and Axi, but you will need to run it many times to get the specific relics you need.

For players who do not want to farm Void Traces, opening intact relics is viable for the three common parts, but you will need more runs. On average, opening intact relics for a common part takes 2 runs per part, while radiant takes 1.77 runs for all four parts combined. The difference is small for commons, but for the Neuroptics, radiant saves significant time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get Citrine Prime parts from any relic?

No. Each part is tied to a specific relic. You must use the exact relic listed for each part. Using a different relic will not give you Citrine Prime parts.

Are these relics vaulted?

As of this writing, all four Citrine Prime relics are unvaulted and in the current drop tables. They will remain available until the next Prime Access cycle, after which they may be vaulted.

What is the best mission for Axi C2?

Apollo on Lua is the best Disruption mission for Axi relics. Rotation C has a high drop chance, and you can complete it in about 10 minutes per run. If you do not have Lua unlocked, Hydra on Pluto is a good alternative.

How many Void Traces do I need to refine all four relics to Radiant?

Each refinement to Radiant costs 100 Void Traces, so you need 400 total. You can earn Void Traces by opening any relic in a mission, with an average of 20–30 per run. So expect to open about 15–20 extra relics to gather enough traces.

Is it better to farm relics or buy Citrine Prime parts?

If you have the platinum, buying the parts from other players is faster. However, farming is free and can be done solo. The choice depends on whether you value time or platinum more.

Can I get Citrine Prime from void fissures without the specific relic?

No. Void fissures only open the relic you bring. You must have the correct relic to get the corresponding part.
